About The Role: 

We are seeking a passionate, connected, and driven mid-level A&R Representative in Ghana to identify, engage, and onboard emerging and established artists, labels, producers, and key stakeholders within the Ghanaian music industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong music industry knowledge, excellent networking skills, and a deep understanding of the local scene and trends.

Your goal will be to expand ONErpm’s artist and partner roster in Ghana, contribute to revenue growth, and foster long-term industry relationships.

Responsibilities :

Talent Scouting & Acquisition

Discover, assess, and sign promising independent artists, labels, and producers across genres in Ghana.

Maintain a consistent pipeline of potential signings for the company in Ghana.

Attend live events, showcases, studio sessions, and industry functions to scout and build relationships for the company in Ghana

Relationship Management

Serve as the key point of contact for signed artists, labels, and partners.

Provide strategic guidance on releases, brand positioning, and career growth.

Support artists in leveraging ONErpm’s platform and services (marketing, analytics, monetization tools).

Business Development & Partnerships

Forge partnerships with studios, managers, promoters, influencers, and other stakeholders in the Ghanaian music ecosystem.

Identify and pursue local brand opportunities, media partnerships, and cross-platform campaigns.

Collaborate with other ONErpm teams in Africa and the rest of the world for cross-border opportunities and global campaigns.

Market Research & Trends Monitoring

Analyze local music consumption trends, social media metrics, and streaming data to inform signings.

Track competitor activity and industry innovations to stay ahead of the curve.

Project Management Support

Assist in rollout plans, content calendars, and promotional strategies.

Coordinate with internal teams (marketing, digital, rights management) to ensure seamless execution.

Qualifications :

Industry Experience & Connections

2–4 years in music A&R, artist management, label operations, or talent acquisition.

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mass Communications or Management.

Demonstrated network within Ghana’s music ecosystem, including artists, studios, labels, DJs, producers, and promoters.

Music & Cultural Knowledge

Deep understanding of Ghanaian and West African music genres (Afrobeats, Hiplife, Highlife, Drill, etc.).

Keen ear for talent, production quality, and commercial viability.

Business & Communication Skills

Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Ability to pitch and communicate ONErpm’s value proposition clearly.

Strong organizational and project management abilities.

Digital & Analytical Competence

Familiarity with DSPs (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Boomplay, Audiomack, etc.).

Understanding of digital music marketing, social media analytics, and artist data tools (Chartmetric, Spotify for Artists, Apple Music for Artists, etc.).

Self-Starter Attitude

Driven, proactive, and results-oriented with minimal supervision.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
