About The Role
The Artist Marketing Director, Southeast Asia (Global Level 4) is responsible for leading and managing the Regional Marketing Project Management team. This role defines and executes the country-specific artistic marketing strategy in close collaboration with the head of Asia and the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), ensuring alignment with global business objectives while addressing local market opportunities.
The Artist Marketing Director develops, oversees, and evaluates integrated marketing and communication strategies, including campaign planning and execution, sales promotion initiatives, advertising agency management, promotional activities, and market research. The role is accountable for driving market share growth, maximizing artist visibility and audience engagement, and enhancing the effectiveness of artist marketing initiatives across digital and social media platforms.
This position also provides strategic leadership on local market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive dynamics, translating insights into impactful marketing programs that support client and artist success.
This role reports directly to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of ONErpm and the head of Asia.
Responsibilities:
Direct the evolution and implementation of artist and release marketing frameworks, spearheading high-impact album and single launches and consumer-centric digital campaigns designed to accelerate audience expansion and fan engagement.
Act as the primary strategic conduit between artists, management, and ONErpm, cultivating robust professional relationships to ensure cohesive alignment on marketing targets and project execution.
Collaborate cross-functionally with label services and internal business units to engineer and deploy innovative marketing programs that bolster artist releases, catalog optimization, and specialized initiatives.
Lead the conceptualization, planning, and management of creative marketing strategies, ensuring all campaigns are synchronized with artist vision, market trends, and organizational priorities.
Govern the development of project roadmaps, financial budgets, and critical deliverables, orchestrating departmental efforts to guarantee the seamless and timely delivery of marketing milestones.
Assess campaign efficacy, market shifts, consumer behavior, and competitive intelligence to uncover growth opportunities, refine strategy, and deliver actionable data-driven insights to leadership.
Coordinate and manage alliances with external stakeholders, including PR firms, radio promotion specialists, booking agents, and industry partners, to optimize campaign reach and artist visibility.
Provide mentorship and strategic direction to Marketing Project Managers and Coordinators, driving team productivity, career growth, and operational high performance.
Manage the talent lifecycle—including recruitment, onboarding, and continuous training—to cultivate a sophisticated, high-performing, and collaborative marketing culture.
Partner with senior executives to assess and authorize resource allocation for project management, supporting international marketing objectives and global expansion.
Co-manage strategic digital alliances with top-tier platforms like Meta and TikTok, alongside emerging digital entities, in coordination with the Digital leadership team.
Proactively identify, pitch, and secure premium digital marketing placements, original content opportunities, and promotional visibility for the ONErpm roster through key platform integrations.
Establish and fortify strategic relationships with external industry bodies, including PROs, media organizations, and relevant music industry stakeholders.
Ensure all marketing frameworks, partnerships, and tactical initiatives contribute meaningfully to artist development, fan acquisition, revenue streams, and market share growth.
Qualifications
Minimum 7 years of experience in artistic marketing or related roles within the music, entertainment, or media industry.
Proven experience leading local marketing teams.
Demonstrated success developing and executing large-scale marketing campaigns with measurable results.
Deep understanding of music marketing, streaming ecosystems, audience growth strategies, and fan engagement.
Experience managing cross-functional projects and collaborating with artists, managers, labels, agencies, and platform partners.
Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting campaign performance data, KPIs, and ROI metrics.
Experience overseeing media budgets, forecasting, and campaign optimization across multiple markets.
Knowledge of influencer marketing, social media trends, and emerging digital platforms.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with CRM, audience data collection, and fan acquisition strategies including email, SMS, and retargeting.
Ability to work effectively across diverse cultures, teams, and international markets.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with a results-driven mindset.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Music Business, or a related field preferred.
Ability to communicate fluently and effectively in English and one or more Southeast Asian languages (Mandarin, Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Malaysia, Tagalog, Thai, Vietnamese)
